Full Twirl
Full Twirl. With due dexterity and skill this trick is not difficult. Nevetheless it generally impresses people, that is why it cannot be classified as a simple trick and yet every flipper must be able to perform a Full Twirl. During this exercise butterfly knife makes 5 complete circles round different fingers. Here is the scheme:
1. Starting position. Hold the balisong’s safe handle with the tips of your thumb and forefinger:
2. Now make a half circle rotation round the safe handle:
3. You’ll sort of flip the butterfly against the back of your hand and close the circle without any halt:
4. It must look like this: hold the safe handle, with your forefinger between it the blade’s spine, and with your thumb atop. Actually this process is easier to demonstrate than explain:
5. Move three fingers higher along the safe handle:
6. Flip the butterfly atop your thumb:
7. After drawing away your thumb, little and fourth fingers hold the balisong’s safe handle with only your forefinger and middle finger:
8. Stand the knife almost vertically and reach with the fourth finger from between the middle finger and the forefinger:
9. Take off the forefinger and hold the butterfly with the middle and fourth fingers (exercise your fingers, gentlemen!):
10. Having moved the forefinger slightly back ‘hang’ the knife on the middle finger. The blade is pointing inward:
11. The previous slide was the apotheosis of this trick. Now goes the ‘twirling’ to open the knife. You must drop down the bite handle almost like on picture 9:
12. And again an element demanding strength of your fingers: you must lift the knife with your middle and fourth fingers while flipping the safe handle against the middle finger, and fix it there with your forefinger atop:
13. Going on lifting the butterfly shove your thumb between the two handles:
14. Rotate till the end and you’ll grasp the balisong at the safe handle with your forefinger and thumb:
15. Then switch all the other fingers into the grasp of the safe handle from below, pull off the thumb and with flipping the knife toward yourself you will have a direct inward grasp:
Thus, we’ve got the Full Twirl trick scheme this big. Closing is made the same way – a teaching video is available to watch it. I hope you and your friends will like this trick. Good luck!
